EPD can complete detailed design of any canoe course / wave or rapid arrangement. Detailed design would include hydraulic modelling involving computational fluid dynamics and / or scale modelling as required. Whilst completing civil / structural / environmental design and assessment EPD are fully conversant with the needs of paddlers as well as the requirements of the design codes and standards.

We understand that 'standard' engineering practice is often insufficient in the design of great hydraulic features and play waves. We are completely up to date with modern boat design and current moves, as well as the needs of beginners and intermediates as they learn on moving water, hence we can maximise the flows and heads available to produce the optimum solution. EPD's detailed design will ensure that there are no awkward parts to the design that would be overlooked by the conventional engineering design consultancy.

Through our consulting team we can accommodate multi-disciplinary designs involving: civil, structural, hydrological, environmental, electrical/mechanical elements and combinations of them all. For any other associated work we have close ties with other engineering professionals capable of delivering a solution to our paddling requirements. We have close links with other specialist related firms for work on buildings, traffic management issues, environmental impact assessments etc.

Our design work is completed to the highest standards following all the relevant British Standards and Design Codes of Practice.
