Jeremy Masters

Jeremy is a Chartered Civil Engineer with a specialism in Structural design. His career has taken him all around the world, working on major projects including petrochemical works, stayed bridges and work on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link in the UK.

He has expertise in structural design for bridges and buildings, including seismic loading, using various frame analysis and finite element packages including Robot Millennium and Microstran.

During recent work as a Senior Engineer he has been responsible for design work and managing the design teams, as well as the quality, progress and profitability of projects. Jeremy has been involved in many schemes from the concept stage to detailed design of permanent works, specialist temporary works and design for heavy lifting and transportation projects.

Within EPD Jeremy is a vital member of the team bringing considerable expertise in the field of structural engineering, for building design, channel design and expertise in building construction.

Jeremy paddled with Newcastle University Canoe Club for several years and was President of the club during his third year there. During that time and since, Jeremy has enjoyed paddling both at home and around the world. Locations include: the European Alps; Norway; California; New Zealand.

Within the UK he has paddled dozens of rivers including all the popular destinations: Tryweryn, The Bitches, Holme Pierrepont, Tees Barrage, Tyne Tour, Dee Tour, Nene, Washburn, Hurley Weir.

As well as white water paddling, Jeremy enjoys playing Canoe Polo and has partaken in a number of sea kayaking expeditions, at home as well as in Alaska and New Zealand.
