EPD use a multitude of procurement routes and contracts to deliver schemes for various clients.
EPD can take the detailed design including pre tender Health and Safety Plans, designers risk assessments forward to the construction phase.
A contract is then drawn up to suit the clients requirements and constraints in relation to risk and monetary funds available. The works information is then issued to the market place to known and trusted contractors.
Their returned or negotiated tenders are carefully reviewed in terms of acceptability, price, health and safety etc.
Once on site we again ensuring that we impart our canoeing knowledge on the construction works, as well as ensuring compliance with the required design standards. The presence of professional supervision is often highly desirable from the view point of regulatory authorities and can smooth the process of actually getting the works to the construction phase.
We fully embrace the principles of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) 1994 and use their principles even on non-CDM schemes.
